There was a total eclipse of the sun across Central America today and Google chose the occasion to officially unveil its new version of the Android OS in New York.
Keeping in the naming of previous versions from sweet treats, the next release, code named 'O', will officially be called 'Oreo'.
As an Android user of many years, I am feeling quite excited by this next version of their OS. Only recently did I upgrade my Nexus 5x to the new LG G6 and although not quite 100% an Android stock build, the OS is flexible enough to accept the new version without the much necessary modification from LG or carriers themselves. This is one of the reasons why I opted for the G6 over the Samsung S8. For now, I await the push notification from O2.
"Safer, smarter, more powerful and sweeter than ever!"
